RETINAL SURGERY

Retinal surgery at Daksh Netralaya is performed by Dr. Kaustubh B Harshey who has undergone his vitreo-retina fellowship training at Sankara Eye Hospital, Bangalore under the mentorship of renowned retinal surgeon Dr. Mahesh P Shanmugam. He has had tremendous experience with the most complex retinal surgical cases especially due to his time spent working as consultant at Sankara Eye Hospital, Kanpur.

RETINAL SURGICAL PROCEDURES:

Intravitreal injections: Different types of injections are given inside the eye for retinal diseases such as diabetic macular edema, retinal vein occlusions and Age related Macular degeneration. All typed of Anti VEGF injections i.e: Avastin, Razumab, Accentrix, Eylea and steroid injections such as IVTA and Ozurdex are routinely performed at Daksh Netralaya.

Scleral Buckling: Scleral buckling involves placement of a silicone band around the eye for treatment of retinal detachment.

MIVS Vitreoretinal Surgery: Daksh Netralaya is equipped with high speed vitrectomy machine to perform surgeries for retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage, macular holes, endophthalmitis, complications of cataract surgery etc. The surgery is essentially stitchless.
